Palestinians in Gaza protest Israel’s annexation plan

People in the blockaded Gaza Strip marched towards the United Nations office to condemn Israel’s annexation plan.
The protest was organized by the Palestinian National Initiative. The event was attended by other leaders of Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement released earlier this week, the Palestinian National Initiative strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s plans to annex large parts of the occupied West Bank, saying such a move will break up Palestinian territories into 224 partitioned pieces of land.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu aims to begin a process of annexing settlements in the occupied West Bank and the Jordan Valley from July 1st, as part of Donald Trump’s so-called deal of the century.
On Tuesday, 47 independent United Nations human rights experts expressed dismay at Israel’s annexation plan and the United States’ outright support for the land grab scheme.
The annexation of occupied territory is a serious violation of the Charter of the United Nations and the Geneva Conventions.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad has called for intensifying armed resistance against the Israeli regime.
