Nicaragua, anti-imperialist emblem

After the 1979 Sandinista Revolution in Nicaragua, that small Central American country suffered brutal aggression -political, economic and military from the United States.

They managed to bleed the country dry. In 1990, the Sandinistas lost the presidential election and handed over power. But they have won every election since 2007, in a completely different world context.
