Australian actor Guy Pearce has blasted the Israeli regime for showing “utter disregard and disdain” for Palestinian lives amid its ongoing assault on Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

In a post shared on his X account on Sunday, Pearce wrote, “I’ve never been so disgusted by a group of people in my life as I am by Israelis.”

“Every day I witness their utter disregard and disdain for Palestinian life. It is shameful and sets humanity further backwards with every vile act like this,” he added.

Pearce also shared a clip from Al Jazeera showing a 15-year-old Palestinian boy who was shot by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank. According to the report, the teenager was left without medical assistance after being wounded, leading to his death.

The Israeli regime has escalated its West Bank violence since October 7, 2023, when it launched a genocidal war on Gaza. Since then, Israeli forces and settlers have killed hundreds of Palestinians in the occupied territory.

Pro-Palestinian demonstrations have been frequent in Australia, particularly in Sydney and Melbourne, since the Israeli regime launched its genocidal war on Gaza.

However, the Australian government continued to supply lethal weapons to the Israeli regime despite the enormous human toll caused by its genocide in the Palestinian territory.

Leaked documents revealed in October that Australia exported multiple F-35 fighter jet components directly to Israel, bypassing global supply hubs.

International human rights groups have constantly warned that sending weapons or military components to Israel makes states complicit in the regime's genocide in Gaza.

Western governments have largely supported the Israeli regime’s genocide in Gaza, which has killed nearly 70,000 Palestinians, primarily women and children.
