Mika Yan is a correspondent and producer based in Moscow, Russia who started working for Press TV in 2026. She graduated from RUDN University with a degree in Journalism from the Faculty of Philology and began working in her profession while still a student.

Her first professional experience was in regional television at "Channel 108 of Tuva," where she worked as a correspondent and independently prepared reports.

She later joined the Russian federal media outlet Izvestia, part of the National Media Group, where she works as a producer in news production. During her time there, she has gained experience covering both Russian and international news agendas. She has worked on breaking news related to events in Iran, protests in Nepal, elections in Hungary and Armenia, the U.S. operation in Venezuela, as well as international summits and negotiations. In particular, she worked on coverage of the summit involving Trump in Anchorage in August 2025.

In addition to her work as a producer, she has experience working directly at the scene of events. She has worked in Moscow, Tuva, and Abkhazia, independently filming video, conducting interviews, preparing reports, and appearing live on air.

One of her most challenging journalistic assignments was covering the search for two missing girls in Tuva. She remained in the region throughout the entire search operation, independently filming what was happening, working at the scene, and conducting interviews, including with the head of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs.
