Dr. Colin Campbell is an award-winning multimedia correspondent. He is currently based in Washington, DC where he has covered four presidencies. Since the fall of 2008, he has closely followed the political scene in the U.S. capital interviewing lawmakers, thought leaders, and policy initiators. He intensely follows stories related to the Black American experience in the United States of America especially regarding their fight for self-determination and self-empowerment.

For almost 20 years, Dr. Campbell has covered myriad stories in the Washington, DC metro area and across the United States including issues related to the economy, the Occupy movement, the U.S. State Department, the Department of Homeland Security, other government agencies, the homelessness crisis, and wealth disparity issues. He was on the scene during the Pulse nightclub shooting in Florida. He reported from the funeral of U.S. Boxing legend Muhammad Ali and the mass police funeral in Dallas, Texas that same year.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Campbell reported for small and medium U.S. domestic news markets in the Northeast, Southeast and West of the country. His assignments have taken him from the Atlantic Ocean to the Rocky Mountains covering stories from agriculture to weather to social issues including domestic politics.

Dr. Campbell earned his PhD from Howard University in 2020 focusing on Communications, Culture, and Media Studies with a specialization in technology and policy. He is an Edward A. Bouchet Graduate Award recipient, an award that focuses on the excellence of underrepresented minorities in academia. Dr. Campbell is conversational in Spanish and is an international traveler. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and is Prince Hall Affiliated. Dr. Campbell is the current developer of Pan-African Report, a burgeoning online news network that focuses on tourism, politics, and culture from the African Diaspora.
