A Britain-based war monitor says nearly 11,000 people, including over 1,000 women and children, have been killed in Syria since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s government in December.

A wave of deadly violence has sparked outrage in a Christian-majority region in Syria’s Homs province after armed men affiliated with Hayat Tahrir al‑Sham (HTS) opened fire on a group of young Christian men.

Al-Jolani, the HTS leader, has pledged to recognize Israel and establish diplomatic ties with the illegal entity.
