Indian security forces have launched a manhunt after a group of heavily-armed gunmen opened fire on tourists and killed more than two dozen people in the Indian-controlled Kashmir.

The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned a terrorist attack in the city of Pehlgam, India, which left over two dozen people dead and a number of others injured.

Indian-controlled-Kashmir, ensconced in the lap of mighty Himalayas, is reeling under extreme cold with the minimum temperature dropping below the freezing point, bringing normal life to a standstill.
