Iran’s PGSA says the Strait of Hormuz is closed until further notice due to tensions caused by US forces in the region.

The majority of these requests came from outbound ships, which accounted for 77 percent of the total applications. Inbound ships made up the remaining 23 percent.

Washington has been unable to break Tehran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz, despite a heavy air campaign, a naval blockade, special forces operations, and a failed “humanitarian” escort mission.
