For the first time ever, Iran reclaimed freestyle and Greco-Roman world titles in Zagreb, marking a historic wrestling resurgence steeped in tradition and national pride.

Since the 1950s, from Takhti to Yazdani, Iran has risen as a global wrestling powerhouse, producing Olympic, World, and Asian champions in freestyle and Greco-Roman, showcasing unmatched global excellence.

Iranian wrestlers defeated their Russian counterparts in both freestyle and Greco-Roman divisions in a friendly bilateral competition held in Moscow on Friday and Saturday.

Iranian wrestlers stamped their authority at the Paris Olympics, etching their names in the annals of the countrys sports history with the highest number of Olympic medals.
