Filmed footage showed dense columns of smoke and flames extending into residential areas, while firefighting teams and volunteers, supported by aircraft, helicopters, and heavy machinery, took part in efforts to control the fires.

France, Spain, and Greece dominated the fire scenes, which included multiple areas in the three countries, while fires were also recorded in Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
