Iran’s Army has asserted that American targets lying beyond West Asia are within the reach of the Islamic Republic’s Armed Forces, warning that any renewed US aggression would trigger a confrontation extending beyond the region.

Spokesman Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia made the remarks on Saturday, while outlining the outcomes of an earlier meeting between senior commanders of the Armed Forces and Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei.

Akraminia noted that the Leader emphasized during the meeting that a future confrontation would not remain confined to previous battlefields.

According to the spokesman, the Iranian response to any renewed American aggression would be “more crushing and extensive” than the one the aggressors were served during the previous unprovoked American-Israeli aggression that targeted the Islamic Republic.

‘Target bank undergoing constant update’

Throughout the aggression, he said, the Armed Forces’ response extended from the Israeli-occupied territories to US military bases in regional countries.

However, the forces have strengthened their operational readiness, expanded their defensive and offensive capabilities, and have been instructed to update their target bank to include more US-Israeli assets, the official said.

“Should a new military adventure be launched, US facilities, equipment, personnel, and interests could be targeted wherever they are within reach,” he added.

‘Trump no longer controlling war’s duration’

Akraminia also warned that another war could last considerably longer than the previous one, stressing that US President Donald Trump could not unilaterally determine its duration or terms of conclusion.

The Armed Forces are now better prepared to confront threats than they were at the beginning of the last war, which started on February 28, the spokesman said.

Since the announcement of a unilateral ceasefire by the United States on April 7, the forces have been modernizing their weapons, incorporating new equipment, and introducing advanced technologies and tactics, he noted.

‘Smart combat readiness’

Akraminia laid emphasis on the transition that Iran’s military doctrine has undergone from an exclusively defensive doctrine towards a more offensive approach.

He described “smart combat readiness” as a key pillar of Iran’s defense strategy, as underlined by the Leader, explaining how the Armed Forces have been focusing on enhancing asymmetric warfare prowess, operational ingenuity, and appropriate tactics.

The spokesman added that Iran had strengthened its electronic warfare and radar capabilities, repaired damaged equipment, and incorporated new offensive and defensive systems into its military structure.

‘Armed Forces prepared for multiple fronts’

Akraminia said coordination between the Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has been strengthened, with operational plans prepared to counter threats from multiple directions.

He cited attempts during the recent war to arm anti-Islamic Revolution and separatist groups based in Iraq’s Kurdistan Region and open a ground front along Iran’s western borders.

He noted, however, that military deployments and preemptive operations, supported by fighter jets, missiles, and drones, prevented the groups from achieving their objectives.
