The chief of staff of Iran’s Armed Forces has warned that Iran will respond to any new aggression more severely and “without geographical limits,” saying that a “new bank of enemy targets and assets” has been prepared.
Major General Ali Abdollahi issued the warning following an order by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, who directed top military commanders during a meeting to be ready to deliver an “immediate and impactful response without geographic limitations” to any new threat against Iran.
Gen. Abdollahi said in his statement that the directive served as a guide for commanders and service members.
He assured the Leader and the Iranian people that the armed forces will stand “to the last breath” against any act of aggression, at any level and of any kind.
The armed forces, acting on the Leader’s commands, are ready to defend the country and its people and to confront American and Israeli enemies “powerfully, severely and without geographical limits,” using modern and advanced equipment and technologies, he said.
The armed forces have placed “a new bank of enemy targets and assets” across a wider geography on their operational agenda and will confront the enemies on the battlefield with new surprises, Gen. Abdollahi said.
"The American-Zionist enemies must know that any renewed aggression against the country and the proud nation of Islamic Iran will be met with a new approach and an unimaginable response, certainly more intense and more effective than the third imposed war," he said.
Addressing the enemy, the general warned that it will be Iran that determines the end of the war "by finishing you."
Iranian armed forces struck US and Israeli assets across the region in response to the war of aggression that began on February 28. Iran has also closed the strategic Strait of Hormuz to hostile shipping.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday that Iranian missile and drone strikes have caused at least $5 billion in damage on US military bases across the region.
The Journal’s investigation, drawing on satellite imagery and interviews with US officials, said that 274 US sites were damaged at 24 installations during the first six months of the war.
Iranian officials have warned that in addition to military bases, US-affiliated data centers, cables, and AI facilities will be legitimate targets if Iran comes under attack again.
