Iran’s Army has warned the United States that any new military adventurism in the region would expand the geography of war, with its fire spreading far beyond its current scope.

“If the US president once again embarks on another adventure in the region through threats and inducements from the Zionists, the fire of war will undoubtedly engulf a wider geographical area,” Army spokesman Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia wrote in a post on X on Saturday.

He said the Army is continuously enhancing its combat readiness, citing Washington’s record of betraying diplomacy.

“We are closely monitoring US movements in the region,” the general added.

The remarks come amid heightened US military activity in West Asia, as well as increasingly hostile rhetoric by American officials against the Islamic Republic.

Tehran has repeatedly warned that US bases and naval assets across the region will be targeted in response to any renewed aggression against Iranian territory.

The US and Israel waged their first war of aggression against Iran, which lasted 12 days, in June 2025. Their second aggression began on February 28, 2026, and came to a halt in early April after 40 days.

In both wars, Iran’s resistance and successful retaliatory operations forced the aggressors to accept a ceasefire.

Iran has also maintained a tight grip on the Strait of Hormuz since the early days of the second imposed war.

In July, the US conducted waves of deadly air raids on Iran and imposed a naval blockade of the country in violation of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Islamic Republic, signed on June 17, to end the war.

In response, the Iranian Armed Forces launched devastating strikes against strategic American targets across West Asia and declared the Strait of Hormuz closed to all traffic.

Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, the Army’s deputy chief and coordinator, said on Thursday that Iran has thwarted enemy attempts to defeat the Islamic Republic in three wars and will not surrender in the face of any new aggression.

“The enemy was defeated in all three wars. We suffered damage, but we did not allow it to achieve its objectives,” he said, emphasizing that Iran has not initiated the wars but has been forced to defend itself against aggression.
