Iran’s Deputy Oil Minister and CEO of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) has declared that the rapid reconstruction of petrochemical complexes damaged during the US-Zionist war is a top national priority and a sovereign imperative.
Addressing a meeting with petrochemical directors and officials from Tejarat Bank, Omid Shakeri announced that the necessary financial resources to rebuild the war-torn sites and complete stalled projects have been secured.
He projected a significant acceleration in bringing these vital facilities back into the production circuit within the next two months.
This aggressive reconstruction drive comes in response to the relentless war launched by the US and the Zionist regime against Iran’s economic infrastructure.
Washington and the Zionists deliberately targeted the country's vital energy, industrial, and transportation assets in a bid to cripple the national economy and halt development.
However, Iranian officials have repeatedly emphasized that such acts of sabotage have accelerated domestic self-reliance, the rapid localization of industrial capabilities, and the expansion of alternative trade networks.
Beyond the immediate reconstruction of damaged sites, Shakeri noted that the second major focus of the meeting was addressing the financial bottlenecks halting petrochemical projects that are currently in their final stages.
He stressed that bringing these nearly completed facilities online is of extraordinary importance for the national economy and for countering external economic terrorism.
"Launching each of these industries brings promising news for the national economy and the people, showing them that the country's development process is continuing with strength," Shakeri stated.
He expressed strong confidence that the financial hurdles would be cleared rapidly following the agreements reached with Tejarat Bank, leading to a remarkable surge in the petrochemical sector's output and proving the complete failure of enemy attempts to sabotage Iran's economic progress.
