The IRGC has identified and dismantled a two-member spy cell affiliated with a foreign intelligence service in Iran’s western province of Kermanshah.

Members of an espionage cell engaged in a project run by a foreign intelligence service have been identified and arrested in Iran’s western province of Kermanshah.

The two unnamed individuals were arrested following an intelligence operation undertaken by servicemen from the Ansar al-Rasoul Special Brigade of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Forces.

Ten Starlink terminals, ten AK-47 assault rifles, and 5,000 handgun cartridges were discovered and confiscated during the operation.

Investigations show that the suspects were active on social media and were seeking to hire operatives through messaging applications.

On October 24, two individuals linked to a foreign spy service were arrested in Iran’s Kermanshah province.

The arrests came after round-the-clock efforts by Iranian intelligence forces and elite servicemen from the IRGC Ground Forces.

The operation was part of ongoing intelligence efforts to identify and counter activities by individuals affiliated with foreign intelligence services and prevent activities that could undermine Iran’s security.
