Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei has called for a decisive fight against corruption and determined efforts to secure the nation's rights and compensation for damages caused by US-Israeli aggression.
The Leader made the demand in a meeting with Iran’s Judiciary Chief Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejei on Saturday.
Ayatollah Khamenei said the judiciary should strengthen the Islamic establishment’s social capital by promoting justice, protecting public rights, effectively combating corruption and the bottlenecks that enable it, and handling cases swiftly, precisely and decisively.
The Leader also called for comprehensive and tangible reforms in the judiciary, maximum use of modern technologies in key areas, particularly to monitor the proper implementation of laws, and regular inspections to help improve the management of organizations and institutions.
Ayatollah Khamenei also stressed the need to address failures to perform official duties that lead to criminal offenses, pursue a decisive fight against crime, and work with the relevant bodies to eliminate the conditions that enable violations.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mohseni Ejei presented a report on the judiciary’s plans for its new term, including updating the judicial transformation document and accelerating the digitalization of judicial affairs with the aim of saving time in processing cases, reducing costs, ensuring the soundness of court rulings, and improving the integrity of judiciary employees.
The meeting came days after Ayatollah Khamenei met with Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf to discuss the latest developments in the military, economic, and cognitive warfare waged by the US and Israel against Iran.
