Bessent’s promise

Super powers think they can use their financial means to restrict and even change a country’s system of governance, but they fail to take into account the country’s resilience after decades of sanctions. The US thinks that it can force Iran into surrender through economic strangulation, even giving it a deadline, but once again, it has failed in this endeavor. The US treasury secretary is left in the dark why Iran has not fallen apart economically. He thought that his methods and assumption of cooperation from allies would lead Iran into financial ruins and economic abyss, but his plans have failed.
