An Iranian knowledge-based company has developed a range of health products using nanotechnology and advanced formulations, including a nano-liposomal calcium supplement, iron and zinc supplements, and an antifungal solution for nail infections.

According to Iran’s Nanotechnology Innovation Council, the products target various health needs, from supporting bone health to improving ingredient delivery and drug release.

The company has introduced a calcium supplement containing nano-liposomal calcium, magnesium, zinc, and vitamin D3, designed to support bone and dental health in adults.

According to the company, the liposomal formulation aims to improve the absorption of active ingredients.

Each tablet contains 500 milligrams of elemental calcium, 150 milligrams of elemental magnesium in the form of magnesium oxide, 10 milligrams of elemental zinc as zinc gluconate, and 1,200 international units of vitamin D3.

Calcium is essential for bone and dental structure, while vitamin D helps the body absorb calcium. Magnesium and zinc also contribute to normal physiological functions associated with overall health.

The company has also developed an iron supplement designed to help reduce tooth discoloration in children, a concern associated with certain iron preparations.

According to the company, nanotechnology has been incorporated into the formulation to address this issue.

Another product in the portfolio is a liposomal zinc supplement.

According to the company, its formulation is intended to improve zinc absorption and reduce interactions with iron and calcium compounds.

Zinc plays an important role in immune function, cell growth, and tissue maintenance.

According to the Nanotechnology Innovation Council, the company also unveiled an amorolfine-based solution in autumn to combat fungal nail infections, known as onychomycosis.

The infection can cause nail discoloration, thickening, and brittleness.

The product is a colorless solution applied to the nail surface. Once dry, it is designed to allow the active pharmaceutical ingredient to gradually penetrate the nail.

The company developed the formulation with the aim of achieving gradual drug release, potentially supporting the delivery of the antifungal agent to the affected area.

The company’s portfolio highlights the application of nanotechnology and advanced delivery systems in both nutritional supplements and pharmaceutical products.
