Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi

Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has warned the United States and the Israeli regime, saying that previous attempts to “finish the job” against the Islamic Republic only left Iran stronger and that any renewed aggression will be met with unfinished business of Tehran’s own.

In a post on X on Sunday, Araghchi wrote: “Last time you wanted to ‘finish the job,’ Iran emerged even stronger. Want to try your luck again? Be our guest. But be careful; we have unfinished jobs too.”

He added that Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu is driving the United States into another war solely to stay out of jail, “whatever the consequences for Israel—let alone POTUS.”

The remarks come as Netanyahu, a wanted war criminal under International Criminal Court arrest warrants for crimes against humanity, continues to push for further military confrontation with Iran amid his mounting domestic legal troubles and political crisis.

Araghchi has previously described the Israeli premier as a “degenerate gambler” and “wanted war criminal with Arab, American and Iranian blood on his hands,” willing to sacrifice American lives and treasure to prolong his own survival.

Previous US-Israeli imposed wars of aggression against the Islamic Republic, including the 12-day war and the subsequent larger war that began with the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, failed to achieve their declared objectives of toppling the establishment, destroying Iran’s defensive capabilities, or partitioning the country.

Instead, Iran’s Armed Forces responded with precise, multi-wave operations under True Promise, striking strategic targets across the occupied territories and US military assets in the region, while the nation demonstrated unwavering unity and resilience.

Araghchi’s statement reaffirms Tehran’s consistent position that enmity with the Iranian people is a “foolish gamble.”

The Islamic Republic has repeatedly made clear it did not initiate the conflicts, has no interest in perpetual bloodshed, and remains fully prepared to deliver decisive, regret-inducing responses should the aggressors choose further miscalculation.

As the Iranian foreign minister has noted in earlier remarks, the Israeli regime’s only interest remains permanent war. At the same time, Iran’s path of dignity, strength, and independence continues under the guidance of the leadership.
