The combat readiness of the Iranian Army has turned any attempt by the enemy to launch a ground invasion into an unattainable dream, the commander of the Iranian Army’s Ground Force says, highlighting the decisive role of trained personnel in military operations.
Speaking during a visit to a training center in Kazerun, Fars province, Brigadier General Ali Jahanshahi inspected various sections of the military unit.
Paying tribute to the fallen members of the Army’s Ground Force, General Jahanshahi emphasized the central role of training centers in strengthening deterrence and enhancing personnel’s combat readiness.
“Training is a key component of combat readiness,” he said.
Emphasizing the importance of human resources on the battlefield, the commander noted that even the most advanced equipment could not perform effectively without skilled and well-trained personnel.
“The quality of training directly affects combat units’ success in carrying out their assigned missions,” he added.
General Jahanshahi also highlighted the deployment of Ground Force units across the country, from the northwest to the Makran coast.
“The extensive deployment of units along the border, major logistical movements, the implementation of passive defense measures, and the Iranian Army’s operational capabilities and combat readiness have turned any thought of a ground invasion by the enemy into an unattainable dream,” he said.
In an interview with Fars news agency published on Saturday, General Jahanshahi said more than 50 combat and support units of the Iranian Army’s Ground Force were deployed along the country’s borders at the start of the second US-Israeli war of aggression to counter enemy threats and defend Iran’s frontiers.
He noted that the deployment stretched from the northwest to the west and southwest, and from the east to the southeast, including the Makran coast.
The US and the Israeli regime jointly launched an unprovoked aggression on Iran on February 28 by targeting Iran’s top officials and also an elementary school in Minab, south of the country, killing 168 children, teachers, and parents.
In response, the Iranian Armed Forces launched powerful retaliatory attacks against US and Israeli assets in the region, dealing heavy blows to the invading coalition.
The war came to a halt after 40 days with a ceasefire, which was then formalized in mid June by signing the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding by the presidents of Iran and the US.
The war inflicted high costs on the aggressors while they failed to achieve their stated objectives of subduing Iran or dismantling its defensive capabilities.
Iran has also maintained a tight grip on the Strait of Hormuz since the early days of the second imposed war.
