Rising cost of living in US
A new report shows that rising energy prices in the United States, fueled by Washington’s aggression against Iran, have pushed inflation higher, adding to the financial pressure on American households. According to The New York Times, prices rose across several sectors last month, including air travel and consumer electronics. It said consumer prices have climbed 3.7 percent from a year earlier, with energy costs accounting for much of the increase. Gas prices alone have surged 34 percent over the past year. The report also cites a Pew Research Center study showing that nearly half of Americans are struggling to afford basic necessities. The New York Times said since Donald Trump returned to office in 2025, wage increases have failed to keep pace with inflation, leaving many Americans with little or no real wage growth.
Yemen's tribal mobilization
Yemeni tribes have mobilized in support of the country’s armed forces as the Saudi-led aggression on the country continues. With every Saudi crime against civilians in Yemen, the unity of Yemen's tribes grows stronger. Tens of thousands of people have already answered the call to arms, declaring a general mobilization in support of the Yemeni Armed Forces to end the Saudi aggression.
Thailand protests
People opposing IMF and World Bank policies have staged a protest in Bangkok as the two institutions hold their annual meetings in the Thai capital. Around 200 demonstrators marched towards the meeting venue but were stopped by police. A brief scuffle broke out when police intervened as demonstrators attempted to hang banners on a pedestrian bridge. Following negotiations, they agreed to move to a designated area nearby, where they plan to remain until Friday night. The protesters accuse the Thai government of allowing foreign investment to harm the environment and increase public debt. They also oppose major development projects, including the Eastern Economic Corridor.
