The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has delivered a historical warning to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, declaring that Western civilization will face a catastrophic and humiliating defeat in its ongoing war on Iran, ultimately returning to the "Bay of Pigs" in disgrace.

In a powerful post on X, IRGC Spokesman Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi dismantled Rubio's recent attempts to frame the US-Israeli aggression as a defense of "Western civilization."

Drawing on millennia of history, General Mohebbi reminded Washington of the inevitable fate of every Western empire that has dared to challenge Iran.

"In the Battle of Carrhae, Crassus’s army was destroyed by Parthian men. In the Battle of Edessa, Valerian’s army was captured by Sassanian warriors," General Mohebbi wrote. "In the Ramadan War, Epstein’s armies in the Persian Gulf were routed by the power of the fighters of Islamic Iran. And in the final battle, Western civilization will return in disgrace to the Bay of Pigs. We are waiting."

General Mohebbi's remarks were a direct response to Rubio's recent imperialist posturing.

In an attempt to rally Western support for the US war on Iran, Rubio claimed that "the West can awaken from its long slumber, and rekindle the fire that was first lit in ancient Greece millennia ago."

To Iranian leadership, such rhetoric merely exposes Washington's hegemonic ambitions and its desire to subjugate independent nations under the guise of civilizational supremacy.

The IRGC Spokesman's invocation of specific historical battles carries profound strategic weight.

The Battle of Carrhae (53 BC) and the Battle of Edessa (260 AD) are universally recognized as the most devastating defeats inflicted upon the Roman Empire by the Persian empires, serving as eternal symbols of Western arrogance meeting decisive Iranian resistance.

By invoking the "Bay of Pigs"—the site of the catastrophic, humiliating failure of a US-backed invasion of Cuba, General Mohebbi is signaling that Washington's current military adventurism will end in the exact same historic embarrassment.
