Israeli occupation forces have continued their daily attacks on southern Lebanon, carrying out airstrikes, artillery shelling, and demolitions in several areas.

These actions constitute further violations of the ceasefire framework agreement, amid Israel’s ongoing occupation of Lebanese territory.

According to Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA), Israeli warplanes struck Kfar Tebnit in the Nabatieh district and Mansouri in the Tyre district on Sunday, while Israeli artillery shelled Majdal Zoun in Tyre.

Al Mayadeen also reported an explosion carried out by Israeli occupation forces at Beit al-Sayyad farm in the same district.

Overnight, Israeli artillery launched heavy and concentrated shelling on the area between Mayfadoun and Zawtar al-Sharqiyah, underscoring the continued military pressure on southern Lebanese communities.

Israeli occupation forces have persisted with incursions into southern Lebanon, accompanied by the demolition of buildings, destruction of infrastructure, bulldozing operations, and attacks involving warplanes, drones, and artillery.

These repeated attacks have continued despite efforts and the framework agreement intended to facilitate an Israeli withdrawal and restore Lebanese army deployment in areas vacated by Israeli forces.

Signed in Washington on June 26 under US sponsorship, the agreement provides for a gradual Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory and the deployment of the Lebanese army in areas relinquished by Israeli forces. However, Israel continues to occupy parts of Lebanon and carry out military operations in ongoing violation of the agreement.

Israel’s offensive against Lebanon, which began on March 2, has killed 4,386 people and wounded 12,413 others, according to the latest figures from Lebanon’s Health Ministry.

A Press TV correspondent says Israeli forces continued their relentless attacks on south Lebanon on Monday, with explosions and rising smoke reported from the Hojer Valley area.

Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem said in a recent speech that the Israeli regime’s occupation of parts of southern Lebanon is temporary and that the occupied lands will ultimately be liberated.

He also stressed that the enemies would eventually have to leave the region, emphasizing that “the solution begins with the enemy leaving in humiliation, along with the Americans who support it.”
