Iranian security forces have arrested three terrorists belonging to the so-called Jaish al-Adl terrorist group in Chabahar, in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan.

The three terrorists were arrested in a joint operation involving the Chabahar Intelligence Department, forces from the Shahid Fooladi Base, and Chabahar’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) forces.

During the operation, security forces discovered the separatist terrorist group’s safe house in the Othmanabad area of Chabahar, along with a cache of weapons and ammunition, including one M4 rifle, two Kalashnikov rifles, and ammunition for M16 rifles.

The terrorist cell had planned attacks on local security outposts, including those in Bahukalat and Shirgovaz.

The operation comes amid intensified counter-terrorism efforts in Sistan and Baluchestan, where Iranian security forces have repeatedly targeted militant cells involved in attacks and attempts to destabilize the southeastern province.

The developments come as US and Israeli officials have acknowledged providing material support to anti-government elements inside Iran.

On June 23, former Israeli prime minister Naftali Bennett acknowledged that Israel had covertly smuggled “tens of thousands” of Starlink satellite internet terminals into Iran, saying the devices were intended to help anti-government elements communicate and coordinate their activities.

On April 5, US President Donald Trump also told Fox News that Washington had supplied guns to anti-government rioters, stating, “We sent guns, a lot of them.”
