New York: Hundreds protest after ICE officer shoots man in Bronx

Hundreds of protesters march through New York carrying signs and chanting slogans against US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Hundreds of protesters march through New York carrying signs and chanting slogans against US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), a day after an ICE officer shot and wounded a 28-year-old Dominican man in the Bronx.

"ICE keeps bringing violence to where people live, and it's just kind of enough is enough," says protester Robert Cavooris. The shooting has sparked a confrontation between Democratic Mayor Zohran Mamdani, who has called for ICE to be abolished, and the Trump administration, which has defended the officers' actions.
