Analyst: US-Israeli aggression against Iran has failed

An analyst says US-Israeli aggression against Iran has failed to achieve its key objectives.

An Activist and commentator says the US-Israeli aggression against Iran has failed to achieve its key objectives, from overthrowing the government to weakening Tehran’s regional alliances.

Mick Napier says Iran’s warning of a “crushing response” to any renewed attack should be viewed as both deterrence and a reflection of Tehran’s assessment that another confrontation remains possible. He argues that previous US-Israeli military pressure failed to force Iran into submission or trigger the collapse of its government.

Napier says Washington has also failed to weaken Iran’s regional alliances or achieve its broader strategic goals. He believes Iran considers itself capable of absorbing further attacks while responding strongly enough to alter the regional balance, adding that the vulnerability of US allies in the Persian Gulf could make any renewed confrontation particularly risky.
