Direct flights between Iran and Georgia halted following new US sanctions

Direct flights connecting Iran and Georgia have come to a standstill following Tbilisi’s decision to strictly enforce updated US aviation sanctions targeting Iranian airlines.

The measures, which affect roughly ten weekly routes, have caused immediate disruptions for travelers and air operators across the region. Barbare Rekhviashvili reports.
