Activist and political commentator Hussein Al-Bukhaiti says Yemeni forces remain in a strong position on the ground despite reports of a possible Saudi escalation.
He says recent military gains have strengthened Yemen’s position, adding that any new Saudi-led military campaign would be met with a response targeting key Saudi economic assets, including oil infrastructure.
He also warns that further escalation could affect maritime traffic in the Red Sea, arguing that Yemen would seek to prevent any military use of the strategic waterway against it.
He maintains that any future coalition military action against Yemen would trigger a broader response and insists that Yemeni forces retain the capability to strike Saudi targets and disrupt regional shipping routes.
