Brazil is set to hold presidential elections on October 4. Voters are also choosing members of the country’s Chamber of Deputies. Among the candidates is Global Sumud Flotilla activist Thiago Ávila.
He is running for a seat on a pro-Palestine platform. With one week to go before the election, his supporters and activists took to the streets of downtown São Paulo to urge voters to back his campaign.
