Netherlands takes stand for international law by banning Israeli settlement products
Author and journalist Robert Fantina says the Netherlands’ decision to ban the import and trade of products from Israeli settlements is a significant move that other countries should also follow.
He said the move demonstrates the Netherlands’ support for international law and noted that Israel’s reaction to the decision highlights its significance.
Fantina also pointed to similar steps by Canada and the UK, saying other countries are beginning to take their obligations under international law more seriously. He expressed hope that more states would follow the Netherlands’ example and take action on products originating from Israeli settlements.
