Iranian Army spokesman vows stronger response to any renewed US aggression
Iranian Army spokesman Brigadier General Reza Akriminia has warned that any renewed US aggression against Iran would trigger a more forceful, broader, and decisive response from the Islamic Republic.
Akriminia said in a televised address on Sunday that Washington had a deeply negative record in the eyes of the Iranian nation.
“If there is another act of aggression, I believe the Iranian people… will support the armed forces with greater determination, and we will do our duty and certainly target the enemy more forcefully, extensively and decisively,” he said.
Akraminia further called on regional countries to help establish an indigenous security order involving all regional states.
He also reiterated that the expulsion of US forces from the region would “make the region more secure.”
"The Americans are certainly not concerned about the interests of the Muslim nations of the region,” he said, arguing that US actions during the current war against Iran had demonstrated this and that Washington was incapable of safeguarding the security of regional countries.
Iranian officials have consistently maintained that the presence of foreign forces is a root cause of instability in the region.
Earlier in the day, the Army’s Commander-in-Chief, Major General Amir Hatami, stated that true stability can only be achieved through the complete elimination of US and Israeli military presence, a shift he described as “not far off.”
He urged Iran’s neighbors to abandon their reliance on external powers and recognize the futility of Western security guarantees.
Since the outbreak of the joint US-Israeli aggression against the country on February 28, 2026, Iranian leadership and the Axis of Resistance have intensified calls for the expulsion of US forces from West Asia.
Iran’s successful repulsion of the US-Israeli assault has severely weakened the US military’s deterrence capabilities and exposed the fragility of Washington’s regional hegemony.
