Palestinian-American activist Susan Abulhawa says the abduction of Press TV’s correspondent Naqaa Hamed is part of a long‑running Israeli campaign to silence journalists
She argues Israel has historically shaped media, education and public imagination to sustain a Zionist narrative, but that this control has weakened in recent years.
Abulhawa says the international community’s inaction has enabled decades of abuses, and that many states continue business with Israel despite public outrage.
She concludes that, at minimum, the world should boycott Israel, and that true justice would require ending what she calls a colonial entity responsible for genocide and systemic violence.
