Bessent proves US is the outcast
The US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has levelled a supposedly extreme economic sanctions package against Iran, touting self-described new methods to bring Iran to its knees and, in essence, advocating regime change.
This is a road the US has travelled down before, and the Iranian side has not only mocked a tried and tested failed policy, but has said the US will feel the burn more instead of Iran.
