Yemeni military’s Red Sea gains challenge US policies

Political analyst Sakina Datoo says the Yemeni military’s control of the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab, along with Saudi Arabia’s shutdown of its main East-West oil pipeline, leaves regional countries with no option but to reject US colonialist policies.

Datoo says the refusal of the US, Pakistan, and Turkey to assist Saudi Arabia against the San'a government should serve as a wake-up call for Riyadh. She argues that closer cooperation with Iran and Oman could better serve Saudi interests as the kingdom faces growing regional isolation.
