Palestinian man brutally beaten by Israeli settlers in West Bank amid surging violence

Israeli settlers have brutally beaten a Palestinian man during a raid on the West Bank village of Beitillu.

Mahmoud Abu Radwan was attacked on Saturday evening and evacuated to Al-Ishraqati Hospital in Ramallah.

He suffered severe contusions and deep wounds to his head, chest and abdomen, requiring immediate medical treatment.

The victim was photographed inside an ambulance as he was taken for medical treatment following the brutal assault.

Footage shared by the humanitarian organization Occupation in the Eye showed armed settlers carrying clubs leaving the area.

In March 2026, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) warned that the number of Palestinians injured in settler attacks in the occupied West Bank had reached its highest level in 20 years.

At least 82 Palestinians, including 19 children, have been killed and around 1,900 others injured by Israeli forces or settlers in the occupied West Bank since the beginning of 2026, according to OCHA.

Israeli forces raid West Bank communities as settler attacks intensify

Israeli forces have carried out raids and arrests across the occupied West Bank as thousands of settlers entered occupied al-Quds.

15 Palestinians were injured by Israeli forces and 16 others by settlers between September 2 and 8, 2026.

Israeli forces killed 3 Palestinians in separate incidents in Hajja, Qabalan and Aqraba between September 7 and 8, while a Palestinian man was killed near Damascus Gate in East al-Quds on September 4 and two Palestinian children were killed in al-Mughayyir on September 2.

“The West Bank is at the breaking point,” warned UN Deputy Special Coordinator for West Asia Peace Process Ramiz Alakbarov in August, stressing that “settler violence has reached unprecedented levels.”

Since October 7, 2023, when the regime began its genocidal assault on Gaza, Israeli forces and settlers have killed at least 1,147 Palestinians and wounded 11,885 others in the occupied West Bank, while more than 21,308 Palestinians have been abducted, according to UN-linked and Palestinian monitoring data.
