West Bank economy on edge amid Israeli siege, restrictions

The economic crisis in the occupied West Bank is deepening, as movement restrictions, Israeli military operations and settler violence increasingly affect Palestinian livelihoods.

Farmers are losing land and productive assets, while shortages of medicines are straining the health sector and unemployment remains high.

Here's a report detailing a visit to Arraba, near Jenin, where one farmer says the loss of thousands of olive trees has devastated a livelihood built over generations.
