After nearly three years of war, with Gaza’s crossings largely closed and the entry of cash severely restricted, the banknotes already circulating have been used again and again.
Years of constant handling have left many of them torn and faded, but with absence of banks’ services, people continue to rely on them and invent ways to reuse them. Ghada Ebrahim reports.
