Iran says several BRICS members back cooperation on new financial mechanisms

India has hosted a meeting of finance ministers and central bank governors from BRICS member states.
Iran’s Central Bank Governor Abdolnasser Hemmati attended the meeting on Wednesday. He told Press TV that several member countries have expressed their willingness to cooperate with Iran on new financial mechanisms. That comes as Tehran seeks alternatives to the dollar-dominated global financial system.
