News Review: Iran says reopening Hormuz Strait hinges on US halting aggression

Iran says the country is now focused on negotiations with Oman to finalize a safe shipping route in the Strait of Hormuz, rather than talks with the US.

Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Esmaeil Baqaei, says the key waterway remains closed as a consequence of the US-Israeli aggression against Iran. He says a reopening will, therefore, hinge on the US halting and compensating for its illegal measures. He stressed that the strait will not reopen before the US agrees to Iran’s conditions.
