Iran’s Army spokesman says the Iranian order in the Strait of Hormuz is irreversible, stressing that the United States has no choice but to accept the current situation or face far greater costs than in the past.

Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia said on Saturday that an Iranian order was currently governing the strategic waterway and that the armed forces would remain firmly committed to consolidating it.

“Today, an Iranian order prevails over the Strait of Hormuz, and the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran are standing firmly until this order is fully consolidated,” he said.

“The Iranian order governing the Strait of Hormuz is irreversible,” Akraminia said. “The United States has no choice but to accept the existing situation; otherwise, it will incur costs far greater than those it has faced in the past.”

He further stressed the determination of Iran’s armed forces, particularly the Army, to continue defending the country.

“The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran have proven that they will make sacrifices to the last breath in defending our beloved Iran and the Islamic Republic,” he said.

The Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important energy transit routes, has been at the center of contention between Iran and the United States since Washington, alongside the Israeli regime, launched a war of aggression against the Islamic Republic on February 28.

In response, Iran closed the strategic waterway and later began talks with Oman to establish a joint mechanism for shipping arrangements.

Iran has stressed that any potential agreement with Oman on new vessel transit arrangements does not mean the Strait of Hormuz will immediately reopen.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Army spokesman highlighted the strong participation of the Iranian people in nightly rallies and their broad support for the Islamic Republic.

He said such public gatherings had helped thwart the enemies’ plans to overthrow the Islamic Republic and boost the morale and motivation of the armed forces in defending the country and the Islamic system.

“The enthusiastic and heroic presence of the Iranian people in the streets has not only strengthened the morale and motivation of the Armed Forces’ fighters to defend the country, but has also significantly increased their sense of responsibility,” he said.

He added that Iran’s resistance against the United States had enhanced the country’s standing among freedom-seeking peoples around the world, saying Iranians were now recognized globally as a resilient, aware and courageous people.

The Army spokesman also said Iran’s enemies had no viable strategy to overcome the Iranian people.

“The anger and disagreements among US officials, along with their contradictory statements and empty threats, demonstrate their desperation and helplessness in the war against Iran,” he noted.
