Israeli forces raid multiple West Bank areas, abduct Palestinians as settlers attack homes, vehicles

Israeli forces have carried out raids and abductions across several areas of the West Bank, while illegal Israeli settlers separately attacked Palestinian communities south of Nablus on the northern side of the occupied territory.

On Tuesday, the forces raided residential areas, searched Palestinian homes, and used live fire, stun grenades, and tear gas during operations in several West Bank areas, according to the Palestinian Shehab News Agency.

At least eight young men were abducted during the raids.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society said a Palestinian civilian was shot and wounded during an Israeli military raid in eastern Nablus. Israeli troops also threw tear gas grenades at civilians as the assault continued in the area.

In Jenin in northern West Bank, Israeli forces entered the towns of Qabatiya, Fahma, and Kafr Ra'i. The forces fired stun grenades during raids in Fahma and Kafr Ra'i.

Troops also raided the towns of Bal'a and Deir al-Ghusun in Tulkarm, elsewhere in the northern West Bank. During the assaults, forces searched the home of Muayyad Sha'ban, head of the committee responsible for confronting the so-called separation wall and illegal settlement construction in Tulkarm, causing damage to the house.

The al-Far'a refugee camp, south of Tubas, which is likewise located in northern West Bank, was also placed under siege by Israeli troops for an extended period. A number of residents' homes were subsequently raided and searched.

In Qalqilya in northwestern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted six Palestinian youths during a raid on the town of Azzun. They later entered the Kafr Saba and Zaid neighborhoods and searched several homes.

Aws Abu Ali, a former Palestinian detainee, was taken away after Israeli forces raided his home in the Kafr Saba neighborhood. Saji Abu Athaba, another former Palestinian detainee, was also abducted after troops raided his home in the Zaid neighborhood.

In al-Khalil in southern West Bank, Israeli forces attacked the al-Fawwar refugee camp and searched a number of Palestinian homes. The town of Tarqumiya, northwest of al-Khalil, was also raided.

Local sources separately reported that Israeli forces swooped on the al-Masna'a neighborhood in the city of Jericho in the occupied territory’s east-central area.

Several Palestinians are injured after extremist Israeli settlers carried out a series of new attacks across multiple areas of the occupied West Bank.

Separately, illegal settlers carried out attacks against Palestinian communities in the villages of Talfit and Jalud, south of Nablus.

The settlers attacked Palestinian homes and set several houses and vehicles on fire. Footage released after the attacks showed Palestinian vehicles engulfed in flames.

Bashar al-Qaryouti, a Palestinian activist, said Israeli settlers set three Palestinian vehicles on fire, attacked residents' homes, and damaged the area's electricity network.

Since October 2023, when the Israeli regime began a war of genocide on the Gaza Strip, the occupied West Bank has seen a sharp rise in Israeli military offensives and settler assaults. Official Palestinian figures show that at least 1,179 Palestinians have been killed, 12,666 injured, and around 24,000 abducted.
