Two Mossad operatives convicted of supplying security information to Israel executed: Iran Judiciary
Two men convicted of espionage for Israel's Mossad intelligence service have been executed for providing sensitive information on military and security sites during recent US-Israeli wars.
In a statement on Monday, Iran's Judiciary said the executed individuals, identified as Omid Behzad and Pouria Safvat, were "mercenaries” of the Israeli regime and “traitors” to the country.
It added that the pair provided coordinates, images and intelligence related to Iranian military and security centers to Mossad officers and communication channels linked to the Israeli intelligence service during the 12-day war in June 2025 and the 40-day aggression in February and helped them achieve their goals.
According to the statement, Mossad had attempted to collect its required information from inside Iran before and during the recent US-Israeli military aggression by recruiting local agents through a network of direct and indirect communication channels.
It noted that some elements maintained direct contact with Mossad intelligence officers while others transmitted the enemy's required information through social media platforms and media outlets affiliated with Israel.
The Judiciary further explained that the two operatives were field-level collaborators and operational agents of the enemy who participated in seemingly simple but complex intelligence-gathering projects, playing a key role in transferring information to Iran’s adversaries.
It said Iranian intelligence agencies launched “one of the most important projects of identification” after monitoring the activities of media channels and groups linked to Israel and analyzing videos sent from locations that were later targeted.
The statement added that forces of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Intelligence Organization succeeded in identifying and arresting Behzad and Safvat while they were engaged in intelligence cooperation with Israel.
