American Economist Jeffrey Sachs argues that the United States has reached the limits of military coercion against Iran, contending that repeated threats by Donald Trump lack credibility because Iran retains sufficient deterrence to impose unacceptable costs.

He believes years of continuous wars have depleted America's military stockpiles, weakened its global standing, and failed to produce strategic gains.
