Iranian general says US used weapons ‘set aside for World War III’ against Iran

The United States deployed weapons “reserved for World War III” against Iran during the recent war of aggression, but failed to achieve its objectives, an Iranian military spokesman says.

Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, the senior spokesman for Iran’s armed forces, said Iranian missile production continued unabated despite the war. 

The Iranian general made the remarks in an interview with IRIB, offering a sweeping assessment of the war and Iran’s strategic resilience.

“The enemy used every weapon that had been tested in the world but never deployed,” General Shekarchi said. “They employed weapons that had been set aside for World War III against Iran.”

General Shekarchi said during the second imposed war, the enemy believed it would topple the Islamic Republic’s military within a week and dismember Iran the following week.

He said following the two True Promise operations and military exercises, Iran conducted damage assessments, set target banks, and developed comprehensive plans.

“The enemy attempted to combine a coup with hard war on January 17 and 18, but the Iranian nation foiled the plot.”

General Shekarchi said during the third imposed war, the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, had fully prepared plans to compensate for the potential loss of himself and senior commanders.

‘Massive enemy data center in UAE destroyed’

One of the most significant blows to the enemy, the general said, was the destruction of a “massive data center” in the UAE.

“This data center had been built over 20 years with the help and investment of Europeans, the Zionist regime, and America in the UAE to control the region.”

“All of America’s investments over five decades in the region went up in smoke with the destruction of their bases.”

Earlier this year, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced it had targeted and destroyed an Amazon data hub in Bahrain using cruise missiles, as well as an Oracle data center in Dubai.

Missile production never stopped

General Shekarchi said Iran’s strategic missile production never ceased during the 40-day war or after the US betrayal of the memorandum of understanding.

“Missiles are currently being produced to replenish our reserves.”

He said the enemy remains confused about the location of Iran’s missile production facilities. “The enemy, with all its intelligence-gathering tools, is bewildered and does not know where we produce missiles.”

General Shekarchi said the strategy is the expulsion of the United States from West Asia.

“With the expulsion of America from the region, the Zionist regime will be erased.”
