US airstrike kills family members of Iranian environmental guard in Hormozgan

Family members of an Iranian park ranger have been killed in a US airstrike in northern Hormozgan Province, according to Iranian officials, as American military aggression continues in southern Iran.

The attack, which took place in the early hours of Monday, targeted an environmental guard post and an adjacent forage warehouse in the rural Hajiabad district, near the village of Seyyed Jowzar.

Masihi Taziani, Director General of the Hormozgan Department of Environment, confirmed that the environmental guard, identified as Hassanzadeh, was on duty outside his home at the time of the strike and survived unharmed.

However, his family members, including two sons and a daughter-in-law, were killed in the attack.

“The forage warehouse belonging to the environmental department was also damaged during the enemy attack,” Taziani said.

The United States has perpetrated numerous violations against Iranian territory since April 7, when US President Donald Trump announced a unilateral ceasefire in the latest bout of American-Israeli aggression targeting the Islamic Republic.

The violations continued even after Washington and Tehran signed a Pakistan-mediated memorandum of understanding last month, whose first clause clearly mandates cessation of aggression on all fronts.

The US has also been trying to help vessels evade the maritime route designated by the Islamic Republic for safe and legal passage through the Strait of Hormuz by seeking to escort trespassing vessels through an illegal passageway.
