A senior official from Yemen's ruling Ansarullah says the funeral processions of martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei serve as a referendum on Iran’s political establishment and the Axis of Resistance, and reaffirmed that Muslim nations continue to unite behind the Palestinian cause and confront arrogant powers.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran has emerged much stronger and more resilient from the recent US-Israeli war of aggression. We call upon all Muslim nations to embrace the Palestinian issue,” Abdulwahab al-Mahbashi stated on Wednesday.

"The massive funeral processions for late Ayatollah Khamenei recall those held for his predecessor, Imam Khomeini in 1989. The international community, thanks to emerging technology and various means of communications, closely follows all the scenes and developments. The whole world is witnessing the extent of public support for the martyred Leader," he added.

Mahbashi, who is a member of the political bureau of Ansarallah, said that the US-Israeli assassination of Ayatollah Khamenei falls within the framework of international terrorism, and is characterized as a violation of all conventions and humanitarian principles.

“US President Donald Trump committed this crime after relying on regional Arab regimes’ support. He, however, did not foresee the unavoidable consequences. The United States and the Zionist regime will soon feel the repercussions of this aggression. The public support for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution emanates from the fact that his blood will nurture Iran’s Islamic establishment,” he noted.

Mahbashi went on to say that Ayatollah Khamenei, as opposed to other heads of state, refused to seek refuge in a bomb shelter, and was present on the battlefield.

The Ansarullah member noted that certain weak regional countries whose main concern is nothing other than feeding themselves will be derided as cows milked by the US, whilst nations led by scholars and connected to the Holy Qur’an will never compromise their principles and will tend to make sacrifices no matter how tremendous they might be.

“The presence of Iranian officials, led by the commanders of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) as well as the heads of the three branches of government, at the forefront of the farewell ceremony for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution and amid Washington's threats shows the level of courage and commitment that the country’s authorities have to the principles of their political system and leadership.  The US mistakenly believed it could unseat Iran’s establishment, but it was deeply shocked by the mobilization of the Iranian nation,” Mahbashi pointed out.

The member of Yemen's Supreme Judicial Council further emphasized that the stability of the Islamic Republic of Iran is rooted in its adherence to the principles of the Holy Qur’an, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), the third Shia Imam.

“Iran became much stronger after the recent [US-Israeli] war. Its real power does not lie in missiles, drones, or a nuclear program; but rather in spiritual and popular power,” Mahbashi stated.

He stated that Iran, Ansarullah, Hezbollah, and all regional resistance forces are utterly determined to liberate Palestine.

“We call on all Muslim countries to stand by Palestine. Anyone who is not on the side of Palestine is practically on the front of the Zionist enemy. Unfortunately, certain traitorous Arab regimes in the region have become Washington’s to serve the Zionist project. Palestine has been the main issue of the Muslim world. The arrogant powers’ hostility towards Iran and its leadership is due to their support for the Palestinian cause,” Mahbashi concluded.
