Tensions are again simmering between Afghanistan and Pakistan after Islamabad conducted airstrikes on its western neighbor.

Kabul says the attacks left at least 36 civilians dead, and more than 160 injured, among them women and children. Islamabad denies that, saying the operation targeted militant hideouts across the border.
