The latest developments came after Iran launched retaliatory operations against US military targets across the region following earlier US strikes on several locations in Hormozgan.
According to the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), the earlier US attacks targeted areas in Jask, Sirik, and Qeshm under the "false pretext" of an American helicopter crash.
The IRGC said the attacks damaged a telecommunications tower in Sirik and destroyed two water reservoirs in the Bemani district of the county.
In response, the IRGC said its Navy carried out a drone strike against the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain and later launched missile strikes against the American al-Azraq base in Jordan.

The Corps said four major targets, including F-35 warplane shelters and a command-and-control center at the base, were struck and destroyed. An informed military source said long-range solid-fuel Kheibar Shekan missiles were used in the attack.
According to the IRGC, a total of 21 targets at American air and naval bases across the region were hit during the retaliatory operations.
The Iranian Army also announced that it had launched waves of drone strikes against American bases and the radar systems of the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.
The IRGC described the retaliatory campaign as ongoing and warned that if the United States continued its actions, "heavier responses are on the way."
Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters likewise warned that any further American aggression against the Islamic Republic would be met with "heavier and more extensive strikes" against a predetermined list of targets across the region.
