IRGC intelligence forces capture Mossad spies, bust terror teams across Iran

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) intelligence forces have arrested individuals spying in favor of the Israeli regime’s Mossad spy agency, and smashed several terror cells during separate counterterrorism operations across the country.

The IRGC intelligence division in the northwestern province of Qazvin announced in a statement on Monday that its forces had carried out a targeted operation in the province, successfully identifying and capturing two operatives affiliated with Mossad.

A team involved in the illicit trade of munitions was also dismantled. The arrestees had in their possession assault rifles and bullets, which were confiscated.

IRGC intelligence forces also busted an eight-strong terror team in the southeastern province of Kerman.

The arrested elements had reportedly fired gunshots at vehicles belonging to Basij volunteer forces, carried out attacks on law enforcement servicemen, launched an arson attack on Sirjan governor's office, spied in favor of Mossad, and were in contact with separatist groups.

Additionally, 22 individuals with links to anti-Revolution and monarchist groups were arrested by IRGC intelligence forces in the southwestern province of Charmahal and Bakhtiari.

The detainees were planning to acquire weapons to undermine security and carry out acts of sabotage.

They were, however, arrested before they could launch any terror attacks.
