At least ten people, including women and children, have been killed, and several others wounded, as the Israeli military pressed ahead with air and artillery strikes against targets in southern Lebanon, despite a ceasefire agreement officially in effect.
According to Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health, six people, including two women and a child, were killed Wednesday evening when Israeli strikes hit the village of Arab Salim in the Nabatieh district. The ministry added that at least 12 others were wounded in the same strikes.
Separately, a child was killed, and five civilians were injured in Israeli strikes targeting the village of Harouf. In Roumine village, three people, among them two children, died as a result of an attack by the Zionist regime. Another nine civilians, including four women, were wounded when the Israeli military struck the town of Zibqin.
Lebanese media outlets reported that Israeli forces also carried out strikes on other towns and villages in southern Lebanon. There were no immediate reports of casualties or the extent of damage in those areas.

The Israeli army claimed it had "struck weapons storage facilities and rocket launchers" belonging to the Hezbollah resistance movement in several areas on Wednesday. The military also told residents of nine towns and villages in the south to evacuate.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah said its fighters had attacked Israeli occupation forces in several areas of southern Lebanon using kamikaze drones, rockets, and explosive devices.
According to Lebanese authorities, at least 2,896 people have been killed and 8,824 others wounded in Lebanon since the Israeli regime launched its military campaign following Hezbollah's March 2 operation.
Israel is occupying a belt of southern Lebanon extending five to ten kilometres inland. The Israeli military has warned the residents of southern Lebanon not to cross into the area.
